Wight Military and Heritage Museum

WIGHT MILITARY AND HERITAGE MUSEUM

This location has huge potential! It has an enormous flat gravel car park (which can be cleared by prior agreement), fields which have rusting armoured vehicles in them as well as tank runs, industrial buildings, original barracks, a war-time themed cafe not to mention the contents of the museum itself. The military and civilian heritage museum is packed full of fascinating displays –  from small and large armoured vehicles (including multiple tanks), a French ambulance to a mighty Scammell recovery truck. There are a large number of weapons to see including small arms, swords, grenades and very large anti-aircraft guns, military and service uniforms and lots of wartime memorabilia. There is also a restored B-N Islander Aircraft G-AVCN, the third of its kind produced at Bembridge Airport and the oldest of its kind in existence.

Some of the vehicles and weapons stored here may be available for hire as props – please contact us for details if this is of interest.

"The crew have found the Isle of Wight a really pleasant place to work and I doubt that they've missed sitting in traffic jams on the M25...!"

"I would wholeheartedly recommend Lobster Locations to any visiting Location Manager. Lisa has treated us with speed, friendliness and fairness throughout and she pulled several locations out of the hat for us. Her location owners clearly trust her and she knows a lot about the island as a whole. She's been a true ally and she makes me hope that I'll be back to film on the Isle of Wight again soon."
