The Durrells

The Durrells

Shoot & Stay

This 5 bedroom detached house is a beautiful example of the Arts and Crafts movement.  The house was lovingly built in the 1930’s by a master ship builder for his granddaughter.  The property is converted from stables and set in an orchard of established apple trees. The detail in this property both interior and exterior is simply exquisite. Set in a lovely and quiet rural setting this is a house that really feels like a home.  On the ground floor is a fabulous kitchen with a custom made wooden table to seat 14.  The kitchen has working original stove and sink overlooking the garden and an adjacent scullery with beautiful shelving and detail. The kitchen leads through to a large lounge with doors leading to the garden.  There are several bedrooms including a master bedroom with a roof terrace.  The Durrells is a beautiful period home which such clever design that it remains timeless.

"The crew have found the Isle of Wight a really pleasant place to work and I doubt that they've missed sitting in traffic jams on the M25...!"

"I would wholeheartedly recommend Lobster Locations to any visiting Location Manager. Lisa has treated us with speed, friendliness and fairness throughout and she pulled several locations out of the hat for us. Her location owners clearly trust her and she knows a lot about the island as a whole. She's been a true ally and she makes me hope that I'll be back to film on the Isle of Wight again soon."
